Pet Promise Program

Want to donate on a continuing basis that rewards success and builds on that success? Then take the My Pet Promise Pledge. Simply pledge a penny, dime, quarter or any amount of your choice for every animal saved at the shelter. Each quarter a count is taken of every animal that was saved through either adoption, returned to its current owner or sent to a rescue group for future adoption. You are then invoiced for your pledge. That money goes straight into the reduced cost/free spay/neuter program which in turn prevents unwanted/accidental puppies and kittens from entering the shelter the following year. This cycle of Adoption-Donation-Spay/Neuter, saves more lives and prevents animals from entering our shelters. This in turn reduces euthanasia on multiple fronts. For just one penny per animal you can help us reach our goal of becoming a “no kill community.”

Taking care of animals at the Columbia Animal Shelter is the Animal Mission's key focus. To further our efforts, The Animal Mission sponsors The Paw Path, an engraved brick walkway and fountain located in Rosewood Park. The Paw Path is designed to honor and memorialize our beloved pets or friends of animals. Donate a Paw Path brick and help The Animal Mission improve the quality of life for our shelter animals. All proceeds go toward the care of homeless pets, our free spay/neuter program and humane education efforts in the Midlands. Do it for someone who loves animals— or for the animals!

Each brick costs $50. There is room for only 28 letters and spaces. Use the donation form to enter your message.
